Your idea

Anchors can currently be changed using shift+right and shift+left, like a range selection. However, range selctions can also be altered with the ctrl modifier (jump to start/end of measure) and home/end (end of system), unlike anchors currently.

Problem to be solved

Adding these options would in my view improve the UX, as stretching anchors over longer distances requires lots of tedious holding down of shift+right and shift+left at the moment. It would also increase consistency of shortcuts across the program.
