Muse Sounds Solo Contrabass (Double Bass) needed.

Your idea

Currently I see no option to have a solo double bass instrument using Muse Sounds, either pizzicato or bowed. If I create a Jazz Combo score, the bass instrument is actually MS Basic, despite all the others being Muse Sounds.

Problem to be solved

Solo double bass, especially when pizzicato in a jazz context, is an extremely commonly used instrument. The MS Basic alternative doesn't combine particularly well with Muse Sounds. Solo bowed double bass is not uncommon in an orchestral/classical context either (think Carnival of the Animals! Or Trout Quintet.)
While it might be nice to have such exotic options as Cimbasso, Contrabass Flute and Cabasa, I would think a basic set of samples for solo contrabass/double bass would be rather more useful...

I remember that there used to be a solo contrabass in Muse Sounds. It seems they did some weird stuff with the contrabass sounds because the section Contrabasses is now at the top of the Muse Strings list.

Your memory is playing tricks on you; there has never been a solo contrabass in Muse Sounds. It’s been one of the most common requests since day one, along with euphonium.

Also, contrabasses is at the top of the strings list because “C” comes before “V”. Sorting these lists into a more standard score order is also a common request, but I don’t see an open issue, so feel free to create one!
