The sound name is Piatti instead of Cymbals #21452
Comments
I'm pretty sure this is intentional and not a bug. Piatti is Italian for Cymbals and most orchestral scores I've seen that call for cymbals use either the Italian term Piatti or the German term Becken. So, I don't see a problem with the sound being called Piatti. |
I am in favor of changing it. |
All other sound names are english instrument names. Only Piatti is an italian instrument name. It is not consistent to use different languages for the sound names. It is also not usual to use different languages for the instrument names in the same score. It is consistent to use the same language for all sound names and to change the sound name to Cymbals. |
I too am in favour of replacing "Piatti" with something more immediately obvious to more users. |
