I believe it would be beneficial (especially for unpitched percussion) to have some sort of toggle when retuning notes for whether they should borrow samples from the nearest note. For example, in this score (Goron City (Day).mscz.zip), I have retuned the congas to match the original recording better and sound better overall

But in MS4, everything about that part is broken, since the congas are using samples for other instruments rather than just retuning the congas further

As far as I know right now, there is no workaround for this, meaning this goal is currently impossible to achieve.
