Describe the bug
Part name text (as in, the text on the page indicating the name of the part) resets to the part name assigned in the Parts menu whenever a score is closed and reloaded.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a new score with one instrument - let's use alto sax
  2. Go to File, then Parts
  3. Use "Rename" to rename the part from "Alto Saxophone" to something else, let's call it "Reed 1"
  4. Open the Reed 1 part, and double click the part name text in the top left to edit it.
  5. Change "Reed 1" to "Reed 1" (line break) "(Alto Sax., Flute)"
  6. Save the score
  7. Close the score
  8. Reopen the score
  9. Open the Reed 1 part and see that the text has reverted to just "Reed 1"

Expected behavior
The text should appear as "Reed 1 (Alto Sax., Flute)", as it did when the score was last saved.

Platform information

  • OS: Windows 10

Additional context
This bug happens regardless of instrument or names used. The ones used in the steps to reproduce the bug are totally arbitrary. Also, while an obvious solution/workaround may appear to be simply adding the names of the doubled instruments to the part name via the parts menu, this would result in part names that are impractically long in the part tabs at the top of the screen. It is also not possible to enter line breaks in this menu.
