NP network #2
Comments
Hi, while the Social LSTM does preserve some spatial information, it loses spatial information through the social pooling operation (for neighbors within a certain spatial distance). Similarly, the No-Pairwise baseline sums together the contributions of the neighbors within a certain spatial distance from the focus object without preserving the spatial information. As you can see from our simulation videos (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BxCJLi4FnT_6QW4tcF94d1doLWs), the NP does not perform nearly as well as the NPE. |
I have an issue about the No pairwise baseline
I think it is not similar to Social LSTM, the Sum operation doesn't preserve the spatial information
I wonder why NP network works?
Thank you very much
