The other VPN plugins are all located into the GNOME GitLab (see https://gitlab.gnome.org/?name=networkmanager&sort=latest_activity_desc )
It would make sense to move this one there (under NetworkManager-wireguard) as it would allow more contributions and translations.

As an observation... Involvement DOESN'T lead to what you're claiming. Either help comes, or it doesn't- and a move to GitLab with GNOME's stuff doesn't lead to the other. The notion there is why GNOME's got people walking away from it...(Hint: Budgie's leaving...there's others...) If they don't want to be a GNOME project, they don't HAVE to move. ;)
