I have been running standard Hardcore lives, and the script repeatedly eats only on day 2 (except consuming a single fortune cookie on day 1). It never drinks.

Here is a screenshot of the post-run soolar stats for my most recent run:
sl_ascend problem

I couldn't fit it into the screenshot, but sl_legacyConsumeStuff and sl_limitConsume are both set to false.

I've implemented "look through all the things we possess, can pull, can craft, or can buy and pick the cheap good ones" but it's currently in beta. If you want to use it, type set sl_beta_test=true into your mafia GCLI. It'll eat/drink the best food/drink it can get (which might not be very good). I'm pretty busy for the next week, but in the next few weeks I'll be looking through feedback, cleaning it up, and moving it out of beta.

I've added support to use the knapsack algorithm consumption to Ed. I believe other paths may (will) need some changes.

Also #115 is related to this.
