Do you use Wayland btw? If yes read https://github.com/linuxmint/hypnotix#wayland-compatibility |
That has worked thanks. Odd I didn't need to add that on my laptop (which is also running the same mint 21.3 as my desktop). No I am not using Wayland on either. |

Hypnotix 4.3, mint 21.3. When playing something, the first channel I select will open a new window with something like [2162 - mpv] at the top of it (the number changes depending on channel), it does not play in the same window as the channel list where there is a big black empty square to the right of the list.
If I then click on a different channel, this plays in that same new window (not in the big black square to the right of the channel list which remains empty). If I then click the X to close the new window the content is playing in, the content stops playing but the window remains open. If I THEN go back to the main hynotix window and select a different channel, that channel starts playing in the black square next to the channel list rather than in the new seperate window that opened for the first channel i tried to play (which remains open with a static image of whatever was on it when i clicked the x). This behaviour is consistent, same every time regardless of which channels i select.
This is also a fresh install, I had not used Hypnotix before but tried it as I haven't been able to find a good iptv player for linux.
