thanks for the feature request @hazcod !

Linkerd 1.x is currently in maintenance mode, and the maintainers are focusing on feature work for Linkerd 2.x.

If you're interested in contributing this feature to 1.x, we'd gladly take your help in the form of a PR 😄

Hi @cpretzer ! Can I assume this won't be supported by 2.x?

Linkerd 2.x currently doesn't support this feature, but you can add the feature request to that repo to get feedback from the maintainers: https://github.com/linkerd/linkerd2 (they're different repos)

Please be sure to outline your use case and give as much detail as possible to help understand how and why the feature will benefit the community
