Visual issues with Sonic Heroes & Shadow the Hedgehog

Kind of an interesting one, if I start either Shadow or Heroes first, without booting up any other games before them, they run fun and look great, but if I should run a separate GameCube game, and then attempt to play Heroes or Shadow, I will get a number of visual distortions, and in Shadow the Hedgehog's case, random freezing.
