What is the difference between Liberapay and others platforms?

First i really like the idea of Liberapay! 👏

But when i searched for find a place to enable my users to make donations to my projects i founded a lot of alternatives, and i wanna know whats is the advantage of Liberapay among the others platforms that i found.

I'm creating this thread because i genuinely like to know about it and it can also be good for other people who are thinking of doing the same.

I'd say, among other differences, Liberapay :

• is run by a non-for-profit organization
• isn't taking a percentage of each transaction for itself
• is run by free software
