probably refactor these into other categories, when what those categories are, emerges more clearly

  1. ignore prefix
  2. give an outlet (template)
  3. identity translation (eng-to-eng)
  4. xx (client dependent)
  5. negate the prompt
  6. recover the prompt
  7. remove formatting
