  • The New Device screen did not show any instructions for how to add a new device

Affecting Linux platforms

  • Postinstall script included with Keybase created .config/keybase with root permissions, making it impossible to start Keybase. To fix this issue, run sudo chown -R $(whoami):$(whoami) $HOME/.config/keybase after updating.
  • Does not affect systems without the Keybase-provided postinstall script (e.g., Arch community packages).
