Description

Say you've a local file and a file in a gist, you want to make sure that everytime you open the local file and modify it, the remote gist related to it is also updated (automatically or at request).

I would love this feature. It's been on my own wish list. I do have mixed feelings about it... maybe provide a way to sync changes to an existing gist file on demand rather than automatically taking every save and publishing it to gist. (this way you can work on your local copy and when you are done with your changes you'd have one commit/publish) Also, not sure if there would be a difference between public and private gists. I can see where you might want to auto-update private gists, but public ones you might want more control over when it gets published.
