Upgrading an operator with changes to operator labels

Hello,

While trying to fix a bug with our operator deployment getting mixed up with another operator, we encountered an issue with the upgrade path of the operator bundle.

For details, we added a new label (manager: intel-deviceplugin-operator) and that is now preventing upgrade from our previous bundle to the next one (0.29.0->0.30.0).

Is there a way to achieve upgrade while keeping the label? Or should we drop the label?
