Request: add option to specify tvdb order. #188
Comments
A number of shows have very different ordering on DVD/BD as well. The air ordering for Batman: The Animated Series, Firefly, Little House on the Prairie, and several other shows in my collection differ greatly vs. the order on tvmaze, and the air order sometimes doesn't even make sense—splitting up two-part episodes, etc. The only correct ordering if you have rips from your own media (and even the pirate downloads usually reflect this) is the "DVD" order on tvdb. |
Thetvdb offers three different orders: airing - dvd - absolute. It would be useful to be able to define which one mnamer should use - at least when an id is provided for a series.
A lot of Anime is released in absolute order (001 002 003 etc). Assume you have a series with 300+ episodes all numbered. Mnamer will use tvdb's default (airing) and fail to match most of them. Having to rename and split 300 episodes into seasons for Mnamer to be able to match them is tedious. Being able to define order selection would address this.
