The following history succeds with the rw-register checker (with :strict-serializable model and linearisable-keys? true):

Adding an other read to the history makes it fail, e.g.:
{:type :invoke, :f :txn :value [[:r :x nil]], :process 0, :index 5} {:type :ok, :f :txn :value [[:r :x 1]], :process 0, :index 6}
This doesn't seem right to me, but perhaps I'm missing something?
