Original Reporter: klemens
Environment: Not Specified
Version: 3.0.1
Migrated From: http:https://jira.grails.org/browse/GPMONGODB-382

At http:https://grails.github.io/grails-data-mapping/mongodb/manual/guide/3.%20Mapping%20Domain%20Classes%20to%20MongoDB%20Collections.html#3.6.2%20Geospacial%202dsphere%20Index%20Support it's written that "MongoDB legacy coordinate pairs are in latitude / longitude order, whilst GeoJSON points are stored in longitude / latitude order!"

I think (actually I'm pretty sure) this is not true, see http:https://docs.mongodb.org/manual/core/2d/
"For all points, if you use longitude and latitude, store coordinates in longitude, latitude order."
