Constant Hissing Noise when Using this Component

I expect this is purely down to the way that it works, play a sound wait for timeout etc, but it causes the device to constantly emit a quite hissing noise. his becomes more noticeable at night when there is minimal background noise. It then becomes quite audible.

Possible solution. Only have the sound play when the app requests to know the status of the mute switch. That way the hissing is limited to that period of time.

OR

Allow the app to choose when the test is being run, enabling and disabling as needed.

If I get a chance I'll try to implement one of those solutions but not sure when I'll get a chance to.
