Adding an LCD Screen to the Mix and some other thoughts...

Just finished my Ambi-Tv build and I’m now working on the enclose to house all the components. I was thinking about trying to add an LCD to go with the Mode button, Power switch, and IR Sensor. Has anyone tried this before? I’m looking at something like this https://www.adafruit.com/products/1115. I was wondering if it would be possible to have the LCD screen print the current mode “Edge, Avg. Light, Party” of the Ambi-Tv program? I think it would also be useful to have it display the current temp and other diagnostic items such as CPU % Etc..

Anyways, I thought I would ask around and see if anyone has tried to do something similar.. My goal is to make this more of an appliance then a hack of components.

I was thinking if there’s any interest in creating a string on here for expansion. “IE: WebApp’s, LCD’s, IR Sensors” I know most of these items are in the Issues bored already but there kinda hard to find. Maybe if we get a solid list of the items we would like to add we could work more as a team on developing them.

Thoughts?
