Not possible to add images to existing post

images can be added while creating a post, one or multiple, everything works as expected.

However if I try to add images to an existing post, the newly added images will not be found after saving the post, existing images will still show up.

Open the image address in a new browser tab will cause a 404.

Seems that the added images in edit-mode are not being persisted in the database.
