Checklist

  • I agree to follow the Code of Conduct that this project adheres to.
  • I have searched the issue tracker for a bug that matches the one I want to file, without success.
  • If this is an issue with a particular app, I have tried filing it in the appropriate issue tracker for the app (e.g. under https://github.com/flathub/) and determined that it is an issue with Flatpak itself.
  • This issue is not a report of a security vulnerability (see here if you need to report a security issue).

Flatpak version

1.15.8

What Linux distribution are you using?

Fedora Linux

Linux distribution version

40 KDE (Wayland)

What architecture are you using?

x86_64

How to reproduce

  1. Launch Heroic/Steam/Bottles Flatpak
  2. Launch any game
  3. Get an error

Expected Behavior

Normal launch of games, like in Heroic/Steam Native (rpm).

Actual Behavior

When launching any game through Heroic/Steam/Bottles Flatpak, the error "Error: couldn’t switch to requested monitor resolution" appears. Heroic/Steam Native (rpm) games launch normally.

Additional Information

If you first launch the game through Heroic/Steam Native and then close it, the games will start running normally through Heroic/Steam/Bottles Flatpak.

UPD: As it turned out, the same problem exists in Bottles
