Similarly to add-ld-path, it would be nice if specified extension's subdir could be automatically added to apps PATH, via an option like add-path: bin in apps metadata.

This is a great idea.

Comparable to Snap packages and their ability to use the app from the CLI without using a wrapper like flatpak run com.author.app [command] it would be just [command] or [author].[command]
