Linux distribution and version

Pop OS 21.04

Flatpak version

Flatpak 1.8.4

Description of the problem

I am unable to install/update org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default 20.08, which is required by a large number of flatpak applications.

When running flatpak update I get this output:

Looking for updates…

Running flatpak update with -vv gives the following output: https://paste.ee/p/7tIIv

Steps to reproduce

It happens to me on a fresh installation of Pop_OS 21.04. After installing and upgrading the system to the latest packages, I attempted to install Chromium from Flathub using flatpak install flathub org.chromium.Chromium, however I received the above error message. Subsequently, any time I run flatpak update I get the above output.

I had the same issue on Silverblue, same error. flatpak repair --user (no sudo) worked for me; I have all my flatpaks installed as user.

This issue still here in pop_OS 21.10

I had the same issue on Silverblue, same error. flatpak repair --user (no sudo) worked for me; I have all my flatpaks installed as user.

Thank you, it helps me. After this command, I run flatpak update as usual and everything works. (Pop!_OS 21.10)

This issue happens to me whenever the update or installing flatpak process somehow gets interupted or canceled. sudo flatpak repair --user command worked for me.

Uninstalling some packages helps me resolving "flatpak update" errors, but none of the packages can be installed anyway, my example is for XnViewMP.

Fixed by uninstalling all GNOME application Platform from GNOME Software (from installed tab)

I had multiple version installed (44,45,46 and nightly)
At every uninstallation i have removed also all my flatpak related software (impossible to uninstall because needed by...)
After i do upgrade from terminal and all work well.

After that in GNOME Software i have only 46 version of Platform
