Last time I thought about this, I could not figure it out, but I might give it another shot.

There is a potential approach by extracting the components of the linearized nonlinear mixed model

The previous approach would be the smart way to do it. I thought about a dumb way to do it using simulation.

I should add marginal and conditional in the arguments
