How to disable local
subcommand for packaging purpose

There isn't a way to disable it. If you are patching I guess you could just remove these two lines https://github.com/erlang/rebar3/blob/main/apps/rebar/src/rebar.app.src.script#L67-L68 But note that Also curious what patches you need and if they couldn't be upstreamed so you don't need to block |

But note that
local install
does not download a new rebar3, it unpacks the currently running rebar3 to install. Onlyupgrade
will grab a new binary. So maybe only need to removeupgrade
.Also curious what patches you need and if they couldn't be upstreamed so you don't need to block
local upgrade
.
