When looking up the squashed version on github pages (https://emmo-repo.github.io/versions/1.0.0-beta7/emmo.ttl)
owl:versionIRI :1.0.0-beta7 ;
which means that it uses the prefix as first part.

It should be
owl:versionIRI https://w3id.org/emmo/1.0.0-beta7 ;
