Since is coming to HTML 5.1 it might be good idea to swap

for it.

Sounds like a good idea. I will look into the specification to find out if is really a good decision for building modals.

So apparently <dialog> is not implemented in any browser yet. Due to @stevefaulkner's feedback on Twitter I think we will stick to <section> at the moment and will update as soon as there is more movement by the browsers towards <dialog>.
