This was happening because
process.env.NODE_ENVseems to consistently bedevelopmentduring thebuildscript for a reason I haven't discovered yet, despite efforts to the contraryUsing
isProductionhere works because the plugin'sbuildcommand manually sets the webpack env to 'production' here
