Currently $ vagrant ssh-config with vagrant-hostmanager in use will still print "127.0.0.1"
and e.g. port "2222" instead the assigned hostname and standard SSH port (22).

vagrant-hostmanager wouldn't necessarily cause this. Please provide your Vagrantfile (being sure to remove any secrets) and we can try and help you.
