Commodity Channel Index (CCI)

The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) is a versatile indicator that can be used to identify a new trend or warn of extreme conditions. It is primarily used to identify cyclical trends in commodities, but it can also be used in stocks. The CCI is calculated using the following formula:

CCI = (Typical Price - 20-period SMA of TP) / (0.015 x Mean Deviation)
