We should definetly support enabling the firmware update mode. This is
already listed on our task list:

For reference, here is the documentation on how to use dfu-programmer to
perform the firmware update:

We could integrate this in nitrocli directly, or add an extension that
invokes dfu-programmer.

As far as I see nitrocli doesn't support enabling firmware update mode for Nitrokey Storage. It would be great if nitrocli supports such. Afterwards users could perform firmware update by using dfu-programmer.
Bonus: Integrating dfu-programmer library to execute entire firmware update.
