Kitematic for the FAQ #242
Comments
Did you file an issue with the Kitematic project? They might want to display a better error message if somebody mistakenly deletes Docker for Mac, maybe thinking they don't need it anymore now that they're using Kitematic. What sort of symptoms did you see when it wasn't working? Some sort of error message? We'd want to add the exact error to the FAQ for people searching for an answer. |
I found a workaround for this problem. Try it out: https://github.com/kane-c/kitemagic See also: docker/kitematic#231 |
I'm closing this due to inactivity, please re-open if you'd like to add more details for the FAQ entry. Thanks. |
It took me hours to figure the strange behaviour out. I had removed Docker-For-Mac before installing dinghy and was not able to connect Kitematic. No idea why.
It took me hours to figure out the reason: Kitematic simply forces me to install Docker-For-Mac.
Install it and I can use dinghy. Put Docker-For-Mac into trash and dinghy becomes unaccessible by Kitematic, too.
