Help answer this question below.
It can help calm you before sleep but it is not likely to put you to sleep on its own. (The amount of chamomile in tea even varies from brand to brand.)
If you are looking for a natural sleep aid, Melatonin is a naturally occurring compound that helps regulate the sleep-wake cycle and has many other antioxidant benefits. Levels naturally rise at night, decreasing body temp to facilitate sleep (so a hot bath from which you rapidly cool may help also). The 'natural' nighttime remedy I take (when needed) includes Chamomile, Hops, Passion flower, Valerian root and several other natural ingredients. I like it because it helps me drift off but does not leave me groggy come morning. Melatonin is found with over-the-counter vitamins and medicines in the US, but not approved without prescription in some countries. Discuss the supplement with your health care provider to make sure it's safe for you to use, especially if you take other supplements or medications.
From personal experience..not for me.....maybe you should consider a poll....it is a nice and relevant question you ask
There is evidence that says chamomille tea has a calming effect and it may help you to get to sleep, like a cup of warm milk. It is safe to drink everyday, but the more you drink, the less the calming effect.
