Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Play GIF animations only on hover.

Animated GIFs play on infinite loop, what apps like discord do to avoid motion-sickness is to play the GIF only 3 times then it gets paused until the user hovers it.

I can see that "motion-sickness" could be a problem in a many-to-many conversation, but for a simple 1 to 1 chat conversation, I don't see an issue here. But it could be an interesting solution.
