I am using Manjaro which uses bootsplash-systemd. I have encrypted my computer during the Manjaro installation using LUKS encryption. When booting up your computer it will ask for your system password. If you enter it wrong, it will go into a grub rescue menu and to try again I have to press CTRL+Alt+Delete to reboot the computer and try again.

Please allow bootsplash-systemd for multiple tries. I would even like to suggest 5 tries before going into the grub rescue mode.

I don't maintain the package for Manjaro, Arch only.
I'm not even sure the issue you're describing is related to bootsplash-systemd. Can you please check if default systemd (without bootsplash) has same behavior?

I don't have a computer at the moment and don't personally use encryption
