I updated to the latest firefox porstable esr . I have all of the latest updates.

I'm using windows 7 right now. If that means anything.

I'm not sure what other information you want. Maybe you could make a script that takes the relevant information ; So it doesn't have to be entered manually ; I don't know. Anyway.

I imported my 4chan x settings from my previous firefox 38.x esr version. The earliest that works with 4chan x ccd0 ; Apparently.

I used firefox 2, firefox 3, firefox 18, firefox 28, firefox 38, and the old versions of firefox for a long time because i liked the old versions. Firefox 2 stored all of the files of sites you visited for easy access; Or that may have been firefox 1 or even firefox 0 ; Firefox 3 was no-html5; stopping DRM bullshit; alike "block adblocker" DRM bullshit. Stallman was right. Firefox 18 let you stop GIF's with "ESC" without needing an add-on; Asking others to install the add-on instead of "It just works" defeats the purpose and fun. No fun allowed. So. Firefox 28 let you get rid of all the bars besides the title-bar. Again ; Firefox 38 is the oldest version that works with 4chan x ccd0 ; Apparently.

But I was always recommended to upgrade for security purposes.

Of course. I used firefox portable 38.x strictly as a devoted browser for browsing these image boards. Of course I don't go opening hyper-links in them. Of course I don't do my actual browsing and surfing the internet and the world wide web with an outdated web-browser. But for the specified purpose and only using it for 1 or 2 websites -- or extremely few websites -- I think it'll be fine.

I have noscript , and-block , "anti-virus", "anti-malware", and all that stuff. So I thought I was fine. And I'm probably a fine.

As a normal user.

But I'm thinking about starting a network thing or a server -- a physical server or something -- and using my computer to deal with it. And I feel that I can be more of a target ; And I should be more secure as a whole ; And stuff.

So I decided that I'm probably going to heavily lean towards getting the latest updates for everything.

Tho a lot of new stuff is trash.

There should at least be something that disables html5 ; not necessarily all scripts; alike noscripot.

Anyway.

So I tried to go from firefox portable esr 38.x to firefox to the latest firefox poratble esr 60.x.

But having noscript captcha tells me to enter a code in a box. In firefox porable esr 60.x .

But having noscript captcha just automatically queue's the captcha . In firefox portable esr 38.x . Instead of telling me to enter a code in a box.

Having to copy and paste a code in a box is annoying, non-no-scriot-captcha is annoying, it's easier to have it be automatic.

So I want to upgrade to the latest firefox portable esr 60.x . But I have to use firefox portable es 38.x . For image boards. And stuff.

I also again want to thank ccd0 and everyone that works on 4chan x ccd0 or any 4chan x version or whatever for putting up with me, and stuff. Thank you very much for this option to post anonymously as well. I hope it's read and cared about and something good comes out of this. I'm thankful and grateful that 28 and 38 was supported so long. I'd still like older versions to be supported. Even firefox 3. Maybe as some sort of "legacy" version; Or something. Sort of like how windows xp and now windows 7 was updated with security updates for a time. Firefox supported window xp and windows vista with new firefox versions for at time. I guess in truth we just need better web browsers with more options. But it's still nice to have. You also now of course have criticisms for "quantum" and everyone losing firefox esr 52.x or whatever ; The last version for windows xp. Which is nice. It's nice that we at least try to make things better, and stuff ...

Anyway.

I'll likely be monitoring this and looking for answers on how to effectively get firefox esr 60.x to work with 4chan x. Until then I will continue to use firefox esr 38.x with 4chan-x indefinitely.

If you have any questions or comments. Feel free to post them. Tho keep in mind I may be tired andor lazy and not give out more information. So just a fix for this right-now would be nice. Thank you.
