Easily migrate your projects from GitLab to GitHub.

lab2hub migrates your:

• Project's title, description, visibility (public or private), and git repository.
• Issues with comments

• Attachments in issue notes(comments)
• Milestones
• Labels
• Wiki

config.yaml file contains the private access tokens for GitHub and GitLab, and those tokens are neccessary to access your private repositories on GitLab and create new repositories on GitHub.

Create config.yaml file in the currently working with lab2hub --config, and open the file with an text editor, and then replace GITHUB_PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKEN and GITLAB_PRIVATE_TOKEN with your own tokens:

github: GITHUB_PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKEN
gitlab: GITLAB_PRIVATE_TOKEN

Access tokens can be generated and obtained from here:

• GitLab: https://gitlab.com/profile/account

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
