About the coordinate of each region

Thanks for your code and your data. It is really helpful for my study and research. However, when I go through it, I feel confusing about the structure of the network. The travel demand is given between each region but the coordinate and links are given between each nodes. What is the relationship between regions and nodes here? Does that means regions is 1-347 of the nodes (out of more than 900) index?
