A clean install of stackedit produces this error during bower install

bower rangy#~1.2.3 ENOTFOUND Package rangy not found

If you don't see this error, the rangy package is most likely in your global bower cache. You can clean that with bower cache clean

Investigated which bower packages exist:

http:https://bower.io/search/?q=rangy

Here you can see the top hit for "rangy" points to the repos https://github.com/Dakuan/Rangy-bower#deprecated which is now empty

Deprecated
Please see the offical rangy repo instead.

Options now:

  1. Update to 1.3 (seems to be released a year ago by Noa Palmon @noap
  2. Update to 1.3 alpha by @timdown (which seems to be released after the 1.3 above)
  3. Use a fallback 1.2.3 version from Google code
