I note the new gradient feature in Archi 4.7.0, which I have just recently had a reason to use. I'm very happy to see it. However, a key point for me is to allow gradient from one specified colour to a colour other than white.

I don't want to over-complicate this feature if possible. This would require more UI controls to set the starting/end colours.

I think it can be done with only one additional control, which is for the second colour. Default is white, no need to have preferences. Enabled only when Gradient != None.

I can understand the reluctance, and it's definitely not urgent. I've put workarounds into my views to deal with it.

@michaelansley Can you elaborate on the workarounds you used?
I too found a use for the feature you offered and am trying to find a way to achieve something similar

Bump... I'd like to be able to contrast two dimensions in a heat map using gradients between heat map colours. I don't even need a UI for this since I'm setting heat map colours using jArchie. If I find a way I'll post back here.
