Hi! I just found your script since the good old PngHat plugin just doesn't seem to work with PS 2022 anymore. Anywho, would it possible to add an option to Export only Groups (merged) that has a certain color (or letter in the beginning) and it would also check nested groups?

Currently, if you select "Merge Groups as Layers", it only exports the 1st level Groups.

Cheers!

Possible enhancement to add feature to "export layers starting with" (currently only have "ignore layers starting with")

Yep that would work also! I don't know how complicated it would be to have simple panel plugin version of this, where we could have:

  • Output Destination
  • Trim
  • Export As (file format)
  • Export Button

Which would just export the selected layer(s)/group(s) using the filename from the layer/group and overwrite the file if it exists.

Photoshop's native export options are bit cumbersome for simple tasks like these. At least my workflow mainly needs just to export and re-export a layer/group to the same output destination/folder. Also there's no need to export all the layers if you've just edited one.

@antipalindrome this has been opened for a while, would it be so complicated to add this ? It would be quite useful
