What's up with the "tstd" dependency?

Why is this module a dependency? All it does is export a single sum function.

My company's security team would raise an eye at that for sure.

That's a very good question! I think I played around with something some time I ago, and seemingly pushed the changes... I will remove it asap! Good catch 👍
