As of 2008/09/05, OLX has got support for the Logitech G15 keyboard,
to use the display on the keyboard for displaying ingame information.
If you are reading this file, it means the sourcecode for your binary is capable of this.
In order to enable this functionality, you need a few prerequisites.
1) A capable OS. It will only work under the same OSes that g15tools does
- which at the time of writing means Linux, Solaris or Mac OS-X (Leopard & Tiger).
see www.g15tools.com for more.
2) g15tools installed and functioning, which means that the
g15daemon, libg15 and libg15render packages must all be installed, together with the -dev files for them.
3) A Logitech G15 keyboard :)
---:::: GETTING THE SOURCE ::::---
To enable the g15 functionality, you will need to aquire a source version of OLX,
together with needed -dev files for compiling it, zlib, gd, SDL (actually, you will probably need extra stuff like SDL-image and such), hawknl, libxml2.
---:::: COMPILING ::::---
See README for instructions on compiling if this is your first time. (Cmake way is prefered)
Now that you know how to get a fresh working self-compilated version of OLX, it's time to enable the G15 code.
run cmake -D WITH_G15=on . inside the OLX directory.
Now just run a make, and you should have your g15-enabled binary.
Happy playing :)
Feature requests should be posted here: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=180059&atid=891651
Bug reports here: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=180059&atid=891648
Please tag anything related to the G15 parts with G15, so that i (SteelSide) can take care of them,
and the other devs do not need to waste their time reading reports.
