Strip log data, in combination with petrophysical log data, can be exported in LAS format and PDF/Tiff as “data”.
Actors:
Users of this workflow want to develop reports and figures for atlas imagery and/or professional publications. Geologists, atlas designers, mainly.
Precondition:
Can assume the strip log data and petrophysical log data already exist in a digital format.
Alternate Flows:
Export should be easy to adapt and use with 1D raster data (e.g., core images), as well as, other 1D data sets (e.g., biostratigraphy, petroleum geochemistry and petrophysics).
Exception Flows:
Needs to gracefully handle when data is missing.
Post-Conditions:
Example script with above workflow(s) on real data needs to be provided. Resulting LAS, PDF, and image files that are produced needs to be provided. Script and use case should be presented with explanatory documentation (either in line or auxiliary to script code). This could be a Python workbook of some variety.
