Screensaver mode not working

It was working a while back but stopped (sorry I can't remember when exactly). I've tried reinstalling but that didn't fix it. I'm using a Xiaomi phone. Otherwise a very good app.

The way it's implemented at the moment is that the timer jumps to a random position once every minute. I cannot reproduce this behavior on my devices.

Just realized that screensaver mode works fine when my phone is horizontal ie in landscape mode. The problem only happens when the phone is vertical ie portrait mode.
