Deeplink doesn't work in iOS in Email marketing

If I open this link from Whatsapp, it opens the app. When opened from Gmail app in iOS, it doesn't open, but it takes to AppStore despite the app is already downloaded.

What is missing here? I checked the documentation as well: https://help.adjust.com/en/article/universal-links

I think Gmail is using SFSafariViewController.
