Before you submit an issue please restart your discord. If the issue is still there feel free to write a bug report.

Describe the bug
On startup, ChannelTabs will immediately crash your instance of Discord.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
(Not officially sure if this is how it is supposed to reproduced as I cannot reproduce it without it crashing)

  1. Go to ChannelTabs drop-down menu (Top right)
  2. Go through some of the different menus
  3. Crash will possibly occur

When restarting discord

  1. Crash right after startup

Expected behavior
Discord will continue through startup and return to where you left off and ChannelTabs will work as intended

If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

I have figured out how to replicate the crashing issue, though it will no longer constantly crash on startup possibly due to updated plugin version

  1. Go to ChannelTabs drop-down menu (Top right)
  2. Hover over Appearance tab

Uploading Screen Recording 2023-02-13 at 21.41.37.269.mov…

Another way that it can be caused is by adding a channel to favorites

  1. Right-click channel you would like to add to favorites
  2. Hover over ChannelTabs menu
  3. Click on "Save Channel as Bookmark"

Uploading Screen Recording 2023-02-13 at 21.42.33.023.mov…

Console error for the two is the same as listed before (React error)

Typing Indicators (Show Typing) on all the badge visibility settings crashes discord solution for the time being is disable the show typing in the settings on all of the badge visibility sub options. Open the config file for the plugin and change all the TypingBadge from true to false.

@Skorflex If you don't know how to edit config/json files, you're properly better off by just running BetterDiscord setup again, and use the repair option - and dont use ChannelTabs plugin untill it's been updated.

EDIT; Also I couldn't make the method above to resolve the issue, so I'm also awaiting a fix.

This solution doesn't seem to work for me.
It is only these lines that should be set to false right?

Can you repair BetterDiscord after discord crashes making it disabled on startup? If not then while Discord crashes on startup you should still be able to navigate to the config folder in AppData and modify the file without having to open Discord at all.

Go to your plugin folder, %appdata%/betterdiscord/plugins and edit the channel tabs config that has your username, and set the ones with Typing to false.

The only files i see are ChannelTabs.config.json and ChannelTabs.plugin.js

config file shows this:

{
    "currentVersionInfo": {
        "version": "2.6.6",
        "hasShownChangelog": true
    }
}

For me, it was under a file named "ChannelTabs_new_#######.config.json" that contained a settings field with the typing indicator variables. Do you have a similar config file?
