[Feature Request] Make Bulk Editor Tool available with SEO editor role #9462
Comments
Thank you for opening a feature request. I've confirmed that the capability isn't working as expected at the moment. I'm unsure if we still want to provide the possibility to do so. You'll need access to the menu item, while we only have a I've labeled this issue needs decision which means our product managers will assess your request. |
Thanks @benvaassen I appreciate it. At the moment we have our editors able to edit meta on a per-post basis via the metabox but would love to enable them to do in bulk to expedite the task. Cheers |
Changing the title, and also the goal of this ticket: let's make the SEO editor role have the ability to use the bulk editor. |
Note by Joost: see my comment below. Not going for a separate capability, but giving these rights to the SEO editor role we have.
Please give us a description of what happened.
Adding the wpseo_bulk_edit capability to the WP Editor role doesn't provide the user access to the Bulk Editor tool.
Please describe what you expected to happen and why.
By adding the capability I expected the tool to become available to the user who has Editor role enabled. Possibly by adding it to the Y menu in the toolbar or by adding under the WP Tools menu.
How can we reproduce this behavior?
